Organic Raw Milk & Kefir

We supply Organic Raw Milk and Organic Raw Kefir to retailers throughout Ireland.

What is raw milk ?

Raw milk is milk that is unpasteurised and unhomogenised,  or in simpler terms it is an unprocessed milk, sometimes referred to as fresh or natural milk. Unlike pasteurised milk, raw milk contains all of its natural enzymes, fatty acids, vitamins and minerals, making it what many refer to as a complete food. It is also a rich source of naturally occurring good bacteria, helping to maintain gut health.

See rawmilkireland.com for more information.

The organic raw milk is packaged in 1 litre glass bottles and the organic raw kefir is packaged in 500ml glass bottles.

We also have a number of other products under research and development which we will introduce in the coming months.

All of our milk comes from cows that are out on grass for most of the year , resulting in happier cows and tastier milk. Our milk is unpasteurised and unhomogenised with up to 3 inches of cream sitting on top of the milk in each bottle. The extra cream found in our milk gives a delicious full flavour to the milk.

All our milk comes from certified organic dairy farms, and we always print the origin of the milk on each bottle to ensure traceability.

What Is Milk Kefir?

Kefir is a fermented milk drink which originated in Eastern Europe/ Russia. The milk is fermented typically by adding kefir grains to milk until the milk turns into kefir, at which point the grains are removed leaving a tart flavoured drink with a consistency similar to a thin yogurt. Depending on the milk and grains used, kefir can contain up to 60 strains of good bacteria and enzymes. We use organic raw milk and organic kefir grains to make our kefir. Raw milk kefir is regarded as being one of the most powerful natural probiotics available.

What does organic farming mean?

Organic farming is a term used to describe farming methods that do not damage the environment, involves a more respectful use of the countryside, is focused on animal welfare and the production of high quality agricultural products. Artificial fertilisers, pesticides, herbicides and growth regulators are excluded in organic farming. All organic farmers in Ireland must be licensed by one of the two organic certification  bodies here.

Glass Packaging Benefits Everyone

Delicious taste

Glass bottles preserve the flavour of dairy products much longer than other types of packaging, resulting in a better tasting product.

Considered safer

Because glass is inert (does not react with other products) it is considered a safe option for food packaging as it will not contaminate the product it contains.

Environmental benefits

Glass is completely recyclable, and it can be used over and over again. It is the only packaging material on the market that has an endless recycling life

Attractive

One of the most obvious benefits of glass packaging is the visual appeal. Milk looks great when packaged in glass bottles, especially raw milk as it allows the cream line to be clearly seen.
